What llms.txt is

llms.txt is a Markdown text file at your site root that summarises for language models what your brand does and where its most important information is. It’s an open format proposal published at llmstxt.org.

Does it actually help?

It’s a simple, cheap signal, but not a guarantee. No AI engine has publicly committed to using it in every answer. How to publish it
